Arms or armaments in Imperialism are tradeable finished goods assembled in a Metalworks, used as part of the creation of an army unit or a warship.

The number of arms that went into the building of an army unit is the relevant number in determining how many such units can travel by internal transport in one turn (1 per 5 freight cars) or use a beachhead (where the number is limited by the number of arms that went into the ship-building).

There is no equivalent in Imperialism 2, where unit-building requires combinations of lumber or metals.
